The KIT-PANEL Steel Framing products manufactured by Somundy are an effective construction solution for amateurs, beginners and do-it-yourselfers who use this easy, resistant and safe construction system.

They are standard structures of exterior walls, interior walls, floors, mezzanines or slabs and roof, being compatible with any type of cladding (portlandsteel, EIFS, DESF, brick facade, stone among others) for exteriors in a similar way to traditional construction methods.

This pre-dimensioned construction solution allows the generation of architectural designs that simplify the engineering process since the stability information is already incorporated in each panel of the KIT.

Panel Specifications (Kit Panel)

Standard panels measure 4′ x 8′ (120 cm x 240 cm) and 4′ x 9′ (120 cm x 260 cm). Stud-Track sections are made of 1 mm (18 gauge) Z275 galvanized steel and are spaced 40 cm (16′)’ or 60 cm (24′) apart.

Frame thicknesses 70mm, 90mm and 140mm.

Thermo-acoustic core and panel claddings

The different cladding or sheathing combinations are mechanically fastened with fasteners to the steel framing panel to form an extremely fast, light and strong construction system. The sheathing material is not required until the panels are in place on site and should be selected to meet minimum mechanical strength requirements and fire resistance rating of 15 minutes minimum and higher performance materials up to 2 hours combined.

Panel fastening system

Panels are joined with self-drilling screws. Included in the kit.

Electrical and Sanitary Installations

All panels are slim without perforation, the section to be perforated can be prepared upon request and we include the manual procedure instructions so that you can do it yourself and in this way it is easy to pass the electrical and sanitary wiring.
