Steel Framing panelization of any building up to 6 floors is possible, it is designed with value engineering and adjusted to local and international building codes. Consequently, the product complies with quality standards transferred to our customers’ construction sites once manufactured and shipped. We take care to control the production quality of each LSF component, its workmanship, the performance of the material using protocols together with standardized Somundy procedures and validated by USA in each Local Production Unit.

WALL-PANEL” Walls Specifications
Steel Framing exterior wall and interior wall panels are assembled in lengths up to 20′ (6 m). Specially designed “mounting hooks” are supplied to crane the wall panels into place. Applies for truck crane delivery only.
The panel is composed of Z275 cold-formed steel profiles and channels (Stud-Track) from 70 mm (3″), 90 mm (4″) or 140 mm (6″) with offsets of 40 cm (16″) on center or 60 cm (24″) on center. Includes installation of exterior door and window frames. Includes reinforcing elements in accordance with design and engineering requirements as required for code and regulatory compliance.
Steel Framing exterior walls can be clad with portlandSteel, vinyl or metal type system materials, EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finish Systems), DESF (Direct-applied Exterior Finishing System) among other envelope systems currently available in the market.
In buildings 3 stories and above, the engineering incorporates the use of OSB exterior diaphragm from 11 mm (7/16″) with vapor (water-repellent) membrane.
We have several options depending on the region, we work with recognized calculation programs such as Vertex BD, Cypecad, SAP 2000, among others. We integrate our designs to the BIM system, which is why we are considered as one of the innovative companies in the futuristic context of Sustainable Construction 4.0.
The drawings prepared by Somundy are designed to comply with local and International Building Code requirements, and are delivered properly labeled and detailed once the commercial relationship is formalized.
The detailed drawings supplied with the product provide installers with the correct information for the proper placement of the beams and provide adequate support for the loads present.
All of our local Somundy representatives provide local technical assistance, design support, structural calculations and drawings. We provide a detailed set of erection phase drawings and a product manual to facilitate on-site installation of steel framing components. Certain designs and regions require a stamp or letter of recommendation from a licensed structural engineer. Somundy, for an additional fee, can provide engineering on a case-by-case basis.
