MULTI-PROFILE ENGINEERING

Using our DFX methodology, we use light galvanized structural steel framing in all our engineering projects, applying value to the square meter of construction area on buildings such as: Buildings up to 6 stories, residential housing, industrial buildings, commercial premises, health centers, hotels, among others where we can optimize the use of this material up to 100%. With our Somundy multiprofile material we optimize the resistance to loads by creating industrialized superstructures, easy to install such as: floor trusses, load-bearing walls, mezzanine floors or slabs, high performance roofs against earthquakes and winds.

MULTIPROFILE PRODUCTION

We have specialized equipment and machinery verified by Somundy International Group, local partners and infrastructure in several countries as well as a mobile unit to any part of the world for multiprofile manufacturing of Steel Framing structural elements.

Our Rollformers can work at over 18 mL/min and we can cold form all sections of webs (Stud-Track) from drywall thicknesses to Steel framing thicknesses. Our production capacity makes us the effective choice for high demand and fast delivery requirements.

CONNECTORS AND FASTENERS

Somundy supplies or manufactures all the necessary and multipurpose elements and connectors for joining and fastening trusses and panels to erect any Steel Framing structure. We have all the necessary hardware to manufacture and assemble Somundy production panels and trusses.

STRUCTURE DIAPHRAGM

OSB is a material with favorable mechanical properties, suitable for load-bearing applications in steel framing construction. This material contributes to the superstructure of any building:

  • Lateral load resistance: OSB is a very resistant material to lateral loading, making it ideal for resisting the effects of wind and earthquakes.
  • Stiffness: OSB is a very rigid material, which helps keep the structure in place.
  • Durability: OSB is a very durable material, which makes it a good choice for long-term construction projects. It is not a common wood, it is an inert material that is proof against moisture and other challenges.
