Over Roof System – A description
Roofing is a term generally used to describe the installation of a new external roof (normally sloped) in an existing building. It is composed of a coating system coupled with the primary structure that will support the new coating as well as to facilitate any alteration to existing services resulting from the new roof. It is easy to incorporate extensions in the upper part of the roof when it is done on roof (either as part of a major renovation or not), thus providing the current structure with the reliability of supporting additional loads.
The system comprises light steel trusses assembled from «LSF» profiles; These are available in a variety of sizes and thicknesses that allow a wide range of flexibility in design and construction. The high strength to lightweight steel ration means that the existing building can normally support additional load without modifications.
